Haydn is an Austrian composer from the Classical Period. He was Beethoven’s teacher, and a friend of Mozart. Unlike other composer’s works, Haydn’s compositions are not organized in Opus - they are organized in the Hoboken catalogue. Anthony van Hoboken collected and cataloged Haydn’s works, providing them each with a different number.
