Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed 18 piano sonatas.  This one was composed for pedagogical purposes, and is also known as Sonata Facile ("Easy Sonata").  The fact that several people tried playing this Sonata made it become one of Mozart’s most famous piano pieces.  The first movement is the most well-known of the three.
