We offer Day Camps when school is closed for Fall, Winter and Spring Break and also whenever local public schools close for teacher workdays and elections
Themes vary by date and location
Built in 1889 for the World’s Fair, the Eiffel Tower stands in for people across the globe as a symbol of French innovation, creativity and culture. It’s such a potent and valued symbol that just a momentary glimpse of the tower evokes thoughts of Paris, one of the most significant and cosmopolitan cities in the world, particularly in the realm of cultural production. For many, the music of Satie, Debussy, Ravel, Stravinsky and other Parisians, is just as immediately identified and appreciated as quintessentially French as the Eiffel Tower.
The CMC Atlanta Spring Break April in Paris Camp will focus on French music and culture. Students will learn tunes, melodies, stories, rhythmic poetry, and engage in French music-related art. We've designed the program to be the perfect blend of legitimate training and immersion in a rich musical tradition and good old-fashioned fun. Elementary school age students are invited to join us for a full week or come on one or more selected days via the Music School Day Pass. Activities will include private lessons (voice or instrument of choice), singing, drumming, group art and music projects, and ensemble playing with Center faculty, guests and fellow students.
Because we divide by age and skill level, beginners and more experienced students are welcome.
Full Day (8 to 6:00): $295 per week
Half Day: morning (8 to 12:30) or afternoon (12:30 to 6:00): $195 per week
Drop in: Full Day $65 per day, Half Day $45 per day
The CMC Decatur American Roots & Folk Music Camp will focus on great American tunes, melody stories, rhythmic poetry, and music-related folk art. We've designed the program to be the perfect blend of legitimate training and immersion in a rich musical tradition and good old-fashioned fun. Elementary school age students (beginners and experienced alike) are invited to join us for a full week, all day, half day (morning or afternoon), or come on one or more selected days via the Music School Day Pass. Activities will include lessons, classes, singing, and ensemble playing with Center faculty and fellow students. We'll cap off the week with a showcase and barbecue dinner on Friday, Sept 16 at 5:00 pm.
We offer music immersion and promotional discounts:
Camp as little as $300/week for full day or $200/week half day enrollment.
Sometimes parents don't want or need to enroll a student in full or half day camp for a full week. In this situation, we offer Music School Day Passes, which allow for a day of camp attendance on chosen days:
To purchase Day Passes, simply fill out the Day Camp Registration Form and choose from among the Music School Day Pass options provided.
After making your payment, you can register to use the Music School Day Pass for any day, in any camp, at any location for up to one year, with limits. IMPORTANT! Please note: Music School Day Pass spots are limited and offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Spots are reserved by purchase, payment and then completion of the Music School Day Pass portion of the Day Camp Registration Form. With rare exception, we require 24 hours notice of a parent's intent to use a Music School Day Pass. The more advance notice you provide by completing the form, the more likely it is there will be a spot open for a student. You should assume that your enrollment dates are accepted once you receive a confirmation message from a CMC Atlanta Director or authorized faculty member.
